Hey lovelies
Last Saturday I finally had the time to do the traditional second-hand shopping. I´ve started to be a proper regular “thrifter” in La Châtre now. I´m always given friendly prices (on already good bargains), and the service is impeccable. I love finding treasures here in rural France. It won’t be long before I give in for collecting porcelain and vases, cutlery and linen tablecloths. My suitcases will have to travel by car from now on, haha.
Here are a few pictures from our day:
love a clear blue sky
this is how happy I get when I find bargains in second-hand shops
French strawberries, a little pricey but so tasty
I visited Bernard at Jour DÓccase
The kind and lovely people at Côté Coeur côté fringue, they always have something exciting to show me when I visist
I´ve been looking for more floral patterns to our summer dress sewing project
I found this beautiful floral robe! I just love the colours!!
Found this yellow satin skirt, it´s too big for me, so I´m hoping I can resize it a little
I also found this long summer dress, I really like the tailoring. Hopefully, I can use it as a model for the summer dresses I want to sew
I thought this dress was too beautiful to be left alone. I immediately sent a video to Stephanie and asked if she wanted it (too small for me). Stephanie loves the dress but she is planning on doing some adjustments. Apparently, the previous owner had the smallest waist and the biggest breasts, (lucky woman)!
I got some proper bargains this time, and I can´t wait with getting started with my sewing projects!
Alright, the garden is waiting for my arrival. We have a lot of perennials and sweetpeas that need to be planted outside. I hope you all have a lovely day.
Marie
