Hey lovelies
It´s been a few busy days here at Lalande, but we are finally back to normal. Stephanie and I have finally started sharing a calendar (my biggest joy this month), and there are busy times ahead. We are getting more and more bookings, and it´s all a bit overwhelming, but in the right way.
I went on a little flower hunt this afternoon, I really wanted some flowers for my self this time. Flowers for my birthday! YAY! My birthday is tomorrow, and it´s my 28th! I feel slightly frightened about getting closer to 30, but also incredibly grateful too. I love getting older, somehow it´s so reassuring. Getting older also means more wisdom and life experience. More certainty. Getting older also makes me feel safer, even if I still don´t have a proper job yet. Even if I still have study loans to pay off. Even if I haven’t found my haven. But what I do know is what I want. It’s so clear to me now, and it´s filled with passion.
A trip around the chateau forest
Yesterday I listened to another episode of “The school of greatness” with Lewis Howes, starring Dean Graziosi. I absolutely loved the episode, and something that really came to heart was the conversation about the “7 Levels deep”. Basically, it´s all about discovering why you really want to become what you want to become in life. Why you have the goals that you have. Try this link, it´s a website that allows you to do the exercise. While I was listening to the episode and the conversation that Dean and Lewis were having I just started realising my inner truths about why I want the things that I want. What drives me to move towards my dreams. It made me cry, and it still does when I think about it, and it´s far to complicated to tell you all now, but it reminded me of the little girl I once used to be. The little girl who saw her father drunk too many times, a father who was picked up by the police far to much. The little girl who wanted more then what her family could ever give her. So, with a lot of love and ambition, I know now why I want the things that I want. I want to aim high and be successful in every way that I can so I can save that little girl. The little girl is me, but also children who needs help. One day I want to study pedology, and I want to create a sanctuary for kids in need. That being a children home or a school, who knows what the future beholds. The only thing I know is that I want to save children.
My dearest Ruby
Right, enough deep stuff. David is back at Lalande, and he is cooking tonight. YAY. There is dinner, lots of cheese and hopefully a cocktail or two. I´m staying up late!
I hope you all have a amazing Saturday.
Marie
