Hunting for funiture

On Saturday, Stephanie and I went to Bourges to see if we could find some furniture for De la tour (one of the bedrooms that being redecorated). We ended up having lunch out, and that was an unexpected treat, we had two starters, two glasses of wine and a cheese platter. They didn´t have any vegetarian main courses, but the starter I had was fantastic. I´m slightly disappointed by the lack of vegetarian and glutenfree options in our area. I really miss Norwich in that way, so many options!

Here are a few pictures from our day:

A beautiful tea/coffee set, I wish I could have bought it. I can´t really buy much stuff now, it just won’t fit in my suitcase.  One day I will take a car and make a long road trip around France. The goal will be to discover as many second-hand shops as possible. Haha. One day.

We are already 7 people in the chateau today, more friends are coming later this week. By Friday we will be over 30 people here. The Easter party is approaching quickly, and there is so much to do. We are transforming the Grand Salon into a magical and beautiful, but a distant galaxy. There will be lots of white trees, flower arrangments, light fabrics and much more. It´s going to look incredible when it´s done. Can´t wait to show you the finished results!

Tonight, David and Donna are cooking up a magical dinner, Lalande style. There will be lots of laughs, wine and good talks. It definitely doesn’t feel like Monday today.

I hope you all have a lovely evening. I certainly will.

Hei kjære dere i Norge.

Mange meldinger, mange dokumenter, mange oppgaver. Mange to-do´s før Fredag. Herrefred. Haha!

  1. Hey Judith! Yes, we did indeed find furniture! Haha. Somehow I just forgot to mention that. We went to Emmaus and found a beautiful big mirror for De la tour. It was originally 50Euros, but we got If for 30Euros! We are still looking for a bed though..
